Nothing is more British than an afternoon Cricket game. Yet throughout the West Indies, Cricket has moved beyond its colonial origins and acquired a new Caribbean image. Once a sport played only by the colonial elite, Cricket is now the “people’s sport” and is played everywhere -from vacant lots to national stadiums. In the former British West Indies, Cricket is king.
