Research about the Caribbean is often difficult for students due to the fact that much of the historical and cultural information is unavailable outside of the region, or has been incorporated into the archives of former colonial powers. However, access to Caribbean resources is now MUCH easier thanks to the tireless efforts of scholars and librarians working with the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) , a cooperative digital library for resources from and about the Caribbean and circum-Caribbean. dLOC provides access to digitized versions of Caribbean cultural, historical and research materials currently held in archives, libraries, and private collections.
